Charlie Palmers’ Pigs and Pinot event is quickly becoming a tradition in Healdsburg. This annual event (5 years in 2010!) is an opportunity for Russian River Valley pinot noir producers and the local culinary stars to come together for a weekend of seminars, wine tasting, a Gala Dinner, the Pinot Cup competition, and plenty of socializing. The event also serves as a fundraiser for Share Our Strength and The Healdsburg School.
We’ll be in town, ready to meet Kevin Gillespie from this season’s Top Chef as he makes his guest appearance right here in Sonoma County. Praise the Lard! We (heart) this chef and his earthy, natural style of bringing beautiful ingredients together and can’t wait to see what he does with our local wines.
Kevin, if you want to stop by Westside Lodge for a glass of pinot grown and made right here on Westside Road while you’re in town, we can make that happen…you just let us know. Really.
